Basta! — Reel Blocker funciona 100% en tu dispositivo. No envía ni recoge ningún dato fuera de tu móvil, no tiene analítica, no tiene cuentas de usuario, no comparte nada con terceros.

Qué hace la app

Basta! — Reel Blocker detecta cuando entras en Reels de Instagram o Shorts de YouTube y ejecuta la acción "atrás" del sistema para sacarte. Usa el servicio de Accesibilidad de Android, que es la única forma en Android de detectar qué pantalla concreta de otra app estás viendo.

Qué información lee

Mientras el servicio está activo, el sistema operativo le entrega eventos de accesibilidad de Instagram y YouTube. Para cada evento, la app:

• Lee los resource-id de los elementos visibles (cadenas como clips_viewer_view_pager) para reconocer si estás en el visor de Reels o Shorts.
• Comprueba el nombre de la Activity o Fragment activo (p. ej. InstagramMainActivity) para distinguir contextos como mensajes directos del feed principal.

La app no lee el contenido de los mensajes, ni el texto de los posts, ni los nombres de las personas con las que hablas, ni las imágenes, ni ninguna información personal de Instagram o YouTube. Solo identifica contenedores genéricos por su id.

Qué información guarda en el dispositivo

En las SharedPreferences internas de la app se guarda, exclusivamente:

• Contadores numéricos diarios de Reels / Shorts bloqueados (sólo cifras agregadas).
• Tus preferencias: qué apps quieres bloquear, si permites Reels desde DM, si bloqueas también Stories.
• Si ya completaste el onboarding inicial.

Estos datos viven solo en tu dispositivo. Si desinstalas la app, se borran todos.

Qué envía la app a servidores externos

Nada. La app no hace peticiones de red. No tiene SDK de analítica, ni Firebase, ni publicidad, ni informes de fallos en la nube. Puedes confirmarlo revisando el código fuente del proyecto.

Permisos que pide y por qué

• BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE — necesario para detectar las pantallas de Reels/Shorts. Tú activas este permiso manualmente desde Ajustes → Accesibilidad.
• REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS — para que el sistema no mate el servicio en segundo plano. Es opcional.
• Consulta de paquetes instalados (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES no se solicita; usamos consultas concretas sobre Instagram y YouTube) — para detectar si tienes Instagram o YouTube instalado y mostrar los switches correspondientes.

Niños

La app no está dirigida específicamente a menores de 13 años, y no recoge datos sensibles de ningún tipo.

Cambios en esta política

Si la política cambia, la nueva versión se publicará en esta misma URL y se actualizará la fecha de "Última actualización" arriba.

One-line summary

Basta! — Reel Blocker runs 100% on your device. It does not send or collect any data outside your phone, no analytics, no user accounts, no third-party sharing.

What the app does

Basta! — Reel Blocker detects when you enter Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts and triggers the system "back" action to get you out. It uses the Android Accessibility Service, the only Android API that can detect which specific screen of another app is currently visible.

What it reads

While the service is active, the OS delivers accessibility events from Instagram and YouTube. For each event, the app:

• Reads the resource-ids of visible UI elements (strings such as clips_viewer_view_pager) to recognize whether you are in the Reels or Shorts viewer.
• Checks the active Activity/Fragment class name (e.g. InstagramMainActivity) to distinguish contexts such as direct messages vs. the main feed.

The app does not read message content, post text, user names, images, or any personal information from Instagram or YouTube. It only identifies generic UI containers by id.

What it stores on the device

The app's local SharedPreferences hold exclusively:

• Daily numeric counters of blocked Reels / Shorts (aggregate numbers only).
• Your preferences: which apps to block, whether to allow Reels from DMs, whether to also block Stories.
• Whether you've completed the initial onboarding.

This data lives only on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

What is sent to external servers

Nothing. The app makes no network requests. There is no analytics SDK, no Firebase, no advertising, no cloud crash reports. You can verify this by reviewing the source code.

Permissions requested and why

• BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE — required to detect Reels/Shorts screens. You enable this manually under Settings → Accessibility.
• REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS — so the OS doesn't kill the background service. Optional.
• Specific package queries against Instagram and YouTube — to detect whether they are installed and show the corresponding switches. We do not request QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES.

Children

The app is not specifically directed at children under 13 and does not collect any sensitive data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this same URL and the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
